Meenakshi-Sunthareswarar Thirukalyanam
Meenakshi-Sunthareswarar Thirukalyanam in sculptures carved on the side of the main Kopuram of Sri Muththumaariyamman Temple in Matale, Sri Lanka.
Meenakshi-Sunthareswarar Thirukalyanam is considered as the divine marriage. According to Hindu legend,Meenakshi-Sunthareswarar Thirukalyanam was supposed to be the biggest event on earth. It's also believed that Lord Siva came down to earth in the form of Sunthareswarar to marry Meenakshi, and incarnation of Goddess Parvathi. [More Pictures-Temple Traditions]
